Hayley Jayne Counselling
DIP.Couns (MNCPS (Acc.))
Hi, my name is Hayley. I am a qualified integrative counsellor, which means I draw on techniques from different types of therapy to tailor an approach specifically for you.

I was once in your position seeking therapy so I know how daunting it can be to reach out for help. But after seeking my own therapy I realised it was the best thing I ever did and has literally turned my life around.
This journey has given me the confidence and passion to want to help others so they too can experience a happier and more fulfilling life.

My Approach
I use an integrative counselling approach. I find that each client is unique and individual and I will work with whatever works best for you as the client.
The main modalities I use are:
Person Centered Therapy
You’ll be encouraged to bring your own issues to the session – the counselling is led by you and not directed by myself.
I will help you to explore your own issues, feelings, beliefs, behaviour, and worldview, so you can become more self-aware and achieve greater independence.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
CBT is based on the concept that your thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and actions are interconnected, and that negative thoughts and feelings can trap you in a negative cycle.
I will help you to work out how to change unhelpfull thoughts and behaviours. I will also teach you useful and pratical strategies that can be used in everyday life.

Psychodynamic Therapy
Psychodynamic therapy helps you understand how your current feelings and behaviour are shaped by your past experiences and your unconscious mind and impulses.
I will help you look at the past and how that is influencing your present situation.

Some of the common mental health problems I work with are:
-
Bereavement
-
Grief and Loss

-

-
Parental support for transgender children/young people
-
Divorce
-
